Welcome to HESTA’s online insurance application portal.
All HESTA members can apply to upgrade their insurance cover at the click of a mouse.
Make sure you have all the information you’ll need to complete your application within easy reach, including:

Personal:
- Your HESTA member number
- Your name
- Your date of birth
- Your address
- Your salary
- Medical: details of any past or present conditions or procedures, and your doctor’s contact details
- Chosen cover: which type and amount of cover you wish to apply for. Read through the Insurance Options guide before you start so you understand what each type of cover offers you
You can choose to save your application at any stage and continue it later.
If any of your personal details have changed recently, please update them first on Member Online before you begin your application.
This will avoid confusion between the details you enter into your application your existing HESTA member records, when we update your insurance arrangements.

1. You need to login to member online and then click on the 'My Insurance' tab on the left hand side navigation bar.
2. Make sure you have read the duty of disclosure and privacy policy on the introduction page before you continue.
3. Each step of the application offers you help if you need it — just click the top right Help button on any page.
4. You can also print a copy of your completed application (or save it as a PDF) for your records.
5. Lastly, don’t forget to check the whole application carefully before you click ‘submit’.
