The Financial Information Service

The Financial Information Service (or FIS) is a government initiative established to help you better understand your finances. It can help you learn to:

  • get a grip on your finances
  • find and choose expert assistance
  • understand your options
  • make workable savings plans
  • use credit sensibly
  • access government services you’re entitled to use

FIS officers can provide you with information over the phone, in person, or through financial education seminars.
