Individual Distinction

This award recognises an individual working within the aged care sector who has made an exceptional contribution to aged care service in Australia, by enhancing the wellbeing of the aged.

Who is eligible?

Nominated individuals must currently be working in the aged care sector in Australia. Nominees must inform the relevant organisation that they intend to submit a nomination. Nominees may self-nominate, however self-nominations must be supported by a direct supervisor or colleague.

Nominations must demonstrate the following:

  • nominees must be an individual currently working in the aged care sector in Australia
  • at least 5 years’ experience within the aged care service sector
  • evidence of exceptional contribution and commitment through their work over time
  • evidence of the effectiveness and impact of their work.
