Terms and conditions for nominating someone for the 2017 HESTA Aged Care Awards.

Individual Distinction

  1. Finalists in the Individual Distinction category will be invited to attend the HESTA Aged Care Awards dinner in Adelaide on Thursday, 23 November 2017, where the winner will receive $10,000 in a ME EveryDay Transaction Account courtesy of ME- the bank for you.
  2. All prizes will be awarded on the condition the finalists and winner agree to accept their prize in person at the HESTA Aged Care Awards dinner held on the date listed in point 1 above. Finalists' attendance at the awards dinner is not transferable.
  3. The prize for finalists includes: 2 x tickets to attend the HESTA Aged Care Awards dinner to be held on the date listed in point 1 above, 1 x economy class airfare to the capital city where the awards dinner is held from the finalists' nearest capital city, and 1 night’s accommodation in a standard twin share room at a hotel nominated by the HESTA Aged Care Awards organising committee, close to the dinner venue. All transfers to and from airports will be at the finalists' expense unless otherwise stated in correspondence. A credit card will be required to cover any incidental expenses in the hotel.
  4. Each finalist in the Individual Distinction category will be presented with an award in recognition of their achievement. The winner will be chosen from the finalists and announced at the HESTA Aged Care Awards dinner to be held on the date listed in point 1 above. The overall winner will be presented with an award, in recognition of their achievement, together with $10,000 in a ME EveryDay Transaction Account courtesy of proud Awards sponsor ME- the bank for you.
  5. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
  6. Only those nominees that make it through to finalist status will be notified by phone and email after the nomination close-off date by a representative of HESTA Aged Care Awards. Finalist’s details such as name, employer/workplace, and other details in relation to the nomination, will be released to the media prior to the awards dinner.
  7. HESTA, the HESTA Aged Care Awards and ME, reserve the right to use any entries, photographs, video, media and/or articles pertaining to the finalists and winners of this award, in relation to the awards, for future promotional purposes without any reference, payment or other compensation to the finalists/winners.
  8. Nominators and finalists must agree to be contacted by a representative of the HESTA Aged Care Awards to verify any information submitted and the eligibility of the nominee.
  9. Nominators must notify the nominee's employer before making a nomination and complete the declaration prior to submitting a nomination.
  10. The Judging Panel's decision is final and made at its sole and complete discretion. No correspondence will be entered into. The Judging Panel and organisers of the HESTA Aged Care Awards retain full discretion in the awarding of prizes.
  11. For every submitted nomination a nominee will receive one certificate in recognition of their contribution to the sector. Certificates will be provided to nominators for presentation to their nominee after the awards take place on the date indicated in point 1 above. 

Outstanding Organisation

  1. Finalists in the Outstanding Organisation category will be invited to attend the HESTA Aged Care Awards dinner in Adelaide on Thursday, 23 November 2017, where the winner will receive $10,000 in a ME EveryDay Transaction Account, courtesy of ME- the bank for you.
