Young Leader

This award highlights the selfless dedication of a young leader who displays exceptional mentoring qualities – inspiring and supporting young people in their field and contributing overall to a more highly skilled primary health care workforce.

Who is eligible?

Nominees must be an individual currently working in primary health care in Australia. The nominee must:

  • be aged 35 years or less at the time of nomination and be an individual who has displayed outstanding vision and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to steer and implement change
  • provide evidence that the nominee has made a positive impact or contribution which improved the health care of patients or service delivery
  • demonstrate that the individual nominated shows professional excellence through selfless dedication and commitment to their profession, patients and/or the broader community
  • ensure that the achievement described in the nomination has taken place between 1 June 2015 and 2 June 2017 to be eligible.
