Individual Distinction

This award recognises an individual working within the aged care sector who has made an exceptional contribution by enhancing the wellbeing of ageing Australians.

Who is eligible?

Nominated individuals must currently be working in Australia and must have at least 5 years' experience in the aged care sector.

Suitable nominees are those that go above and beyond the everyday demands of the role and exhibit exceptional qualities.

Nominees may self-nominate, however self-nominations must be supported by a supervisor/manager/CEO/owner/employer.

Nominations must demonstrate all of the following:

  • evidence of an exceptional contribution, improving the lives of ageing Australians
  • evidence of the effectiveness and impact of their work
  • details on challenges faced by the nominee in their work and how they were overcome
  • how the prize money will enhance or assist in personal development or further development of processes or services in the workplace.
