Nurse or Midwife of the Year

An exceptional individual who delivers outstanding patient care. Someone who pursues excellence in nursing or midwifery, has delivered positive outcomes and has performed above the expectations of their role.

Who is eligible?

Nominees must be a qualified individual currently working as a registered or enrolled nurse or midwife in Australia. Suitable nominees are those that go over and above the everyday demands of the role and exhibit exceptional qualities than can be demonstrated through this nomination process.

Nominations must demonstrate how the nominated nurse or midwife has proven to be exceptional in the following areas:

  • the nominee has made an exceptional contribution to improving care/outcomes for patients and/or communities
  • the nominee has significantly contributed to delivering a positive outcome in service provision or patient care
  • the nominee has shown outstanding understanding or advocacy on behalf of patients/clients/residents or the profession.
