Specialist aged care service provider Wintringham is our Outstanding Organisation winner in the 2018 HESTA Aged Care Awards
The number of people over 50 years of age experiencing homelessness in Australia is increasing and often help isn’t easily accessible. Fortunately, Wintringham is making a difference, delivering vital support to this increasingly vulnerable cohort of people.
For 30 years Wintringham has made eliminating homelessness amongst ageing Australians its mission, growing to become the country’s largest specialist not-for-profit aged care service that helps older men and women experiencing homelessness.
“The sole philosophy at Wintringham is that of social justice,” says Bryan Lipmann AM, Chief Executive Officer, Wintringham
"We believe that all ageing Australians, regardless of poverty or lifestyle, have the right to live an independent and dignified life."
Housing, aged care, housing support, social and wellness programs and community outreach are just some of the life-changing ways they lend a helping hand and support over 2,000 vulnerable people each and every night.
