HESTA has been awarded the Net Benefit award at Super Review’s Super Fund of the Year Awards 2025.
The $100 billion profit-for-members industry fund has received the accolade, awarded to the super fund that provides the best net benefit outcomes for its members, for the second straight year, and for the fifth time in six years.
Net benefit reflects investment returns delivered to members after fees, costs and taxes have been taken out. It measures what is actually credited to members’ accounts and is the key driver to growing balances over time. Net benefit is calculated using historical data that considers the “whole picture” of fund performance, including both investment returns and fees, to help members understand the real value in their super accounts.
HESTA CEO Debby Blakey congratulated the team on this achievement, highlighting the ongoing focus on delivering for its more than one million members, who work across Australia’s health and community services sector.

The award follows a recent win at the 13th annual Chant West Super Fund Awards where HESTA was awarded 2025 Specialist Fund of the Year.
Run annually, the Super Review awards are Australia’s first independent and whole-of-market super fund awards program that seek to identify the top businesses and professionals in the sector.
