getting started as an employer

One online form and you'll be set up as an employer with HESTA.

steps to join

The online form will ask you 3 key things:

number one

What are your organisation's details?

You'll need your organisation's:

  • registered name, and
  • relevant numbers, including your Australian Business Number (ABN), Australian Company Number (ACN) and Withholding Payer Number (WPN).

number two

Will HESTA be your default fund?

  • If a new employee doesn't tell you which fund to pay their super into, and HESTA is your 'default' fund, you can quickly and easily set up a HESTA account to pay your employee's super and meet legal requirements.*

number three

Choose your clearing house

You can choose to use:

  • the clearing house you've already been using to process your payroll super through, or
  • HESTA QuickSuper^, which is the free, simple and secure way employers who are with HESTA can make payments. HESTA QuickSuper is also SuperStream compliant.
