Products, investments and insurance information
It's been a great year for markets and economic recovery. Take a look at our 2020-21 investment performance in our latest investment update.
We were the first major Australian superannuation fund to commit to reducing the absolute carbon emissions in our investment portfolio by 33% by 2030 and to be ‘net zero’ by 2050.
No longer a 'nice to have' strategy, investing super fund members' money responsibly is crucial to creating long-term financial value for them. HESTA chief investment officer Sonya Sawtell-Rickson explains why.
HESTA members can make a one-off payment or set up regular contributions into their super through EFT (bank transfer) or by using BPAY®.
Our BSB and account details for personal super contributions, including the member’s payment reference number, are located under the ‘Contribute extra’ tab in the member’s online account.
Biller code and biller reference numbers for personal super contributions are located under the ‘Contribute extra’ tab in the member’s online account.
Here are some important identification numbers for HESTA, the Trustee and our products. If you're filling in forms for rollovers, super choice and more, you might need these.
HESTA members may be able to claim a tax deduction for any after-tax super contributions made into their account.
Once the contributions have been made, the member needs to let us know that they’d like to claim a tax deduction for these contributions by completing the ATO’s ‘Notice of intent to claim or vary a deduction for personal super contributions form’.

Annual statements are sent to members from late August to early October. If we have the member’s email address, we’ll send an email when their statement is ready. Members can find their statements in their online account under the ‘Transactions’ tab.
If we don’t have a member’s email address they’ll receive a paper statement by post.
If a member joined HESTA after 30 June, they’ll receive their first statement next year – but contributions or payments, investment returns and other account details can be accessed via the member’s online account at any time.
Advice fees can be deducted from a member’s account if you’re a registered financial adviser or licensee with HESTA.
As a registered adviser or licensee, your clients can complete the Advice fee deduction form (pdf) to instruct HESTA to pay your advice fee from their super account. Payments are processed monthly.
Registered advisers will also receive advice implementation support and relevant updates from HESTA.
