FAQs

Here are some of the most common questions we get asked about HESTA forms and processes.

  • HESTA super members can switch their investments free of charge.
  • HESTA Income Stream members can switch their investments free of charge twice per financial year. A $30 switching fee applies for each subsequent investment switch.
  • Members can switch investments quickly and conveniently through their online account, or download and complete the:
Investment choice form: super members (pdf), or
Investment choice form: Income Stream members (pdf)
  • We’ll process the switch request and send a letter confirming the details of the switch. We recommend members seek financial advice before switching investments.

Annual statements are sent to members from late August to early October. If we have the member’s email address, we’ll send an email when their statement is ready. Members can find their statements in their online account under the ‘Transactions’ tab.

If we don’t have a member’s email address they’ll receive a paper statement by post.

If a member joined HESTA after 30 June, they’ll receive their first statement next year – but contributions or payments, investment returns and other account details can be accessed via the member’s online account at any time.

Advice fees can be deducted from a member’s account if you’re a registered financial adviser or licensee with HESTA.

As a registered adviser or licensee, your clients can complete the Advice fee deduction form (pdf) to instruct HESTA to pay your advice fee from their super account. Payments are processed monthly.

Registered advisers will also receive advice implementation support and relevant updates from HESTA.
