David Logan, Member Education Manager:
Starting a new job is exciting, especially when it's your first full-time job.
We are the industry super fund dedicated to people like you, people who make our world better.
Our purpose is to help you face the future with confidence, be a gutsy advocate for a fair and healthy community, and deliver investment excellence with impact so that you can live the retirement you deserve.
If you want a super fund that benefits members and cares about how your super is invested, we might be a great choice for you.
If you've had a job before, you may already have a super fund. These days, that fund will follow you from job to job, unless you choose a new fund.
If HESTA isn't already your fund, you can still choose us.
When you start your job, your employer will give you an ATO superannuation standard choice form.
It's important you choose a fund that's right for you.
To choose HESTA, complete this form and return it to your employer.
If you are already with HESTA include your member number on this form.
You'll find this on any email from us.
If you don't make a choice, your employer will ask the ATO for the last super fund you contributed to.
If you don't have one, they'll pay your super into your employer's default fund.
Even though super is your money, many of us could benefit from checking in on it more often.
So if you are a HESTA member, make sure you register for an online account. This is the easiest way to keep in touch with your super at HESTA.
Once you have an online account set up you can do lots of things like combine your super and set up additional contributions.
HESTA is about creating better futures for our members and we have a history of strong, long-term investment returns*.
See why over 1 million Australians have chosen HESTA.
If you need help with your super, you can see a HESTA adviser whenever you need. It's all part of being with us at no additional cost.
